What is a Claude Export?
Anthropic lets you download all your Claude conversation history as a ZIP file. This is useful if you want to keep a backup, review past conversations, or move away from the platform.
To get your Claude export: go to Settings → Account → Export Data. Anthropic will email you a download link within a few minutes.
Claude exports use a JSON format similar to ChatGPT exports. The file is not designed to be read directly — you need a viewer to make sense of it.
